Lesson 3
About this lesson
/th/
In this lesson, your child didn’t learn any new sounds. Instead, they began reading and spelling words with four sounds.
We introduced blends — two consonants next to each other where each sound is still heard. This was different from digraphs, which make one sound.
To help your child see the difference, we kept digraph tiles in their own row so they were easy to spot.
All blend words in this lesson had the blend at the end of the word, right after the vowel.
